~ Valentine's Day ~

Valentine's Day was very eventful for Brooke. She got some new cute summer dresses from Papaw and "E-Maw" a few days before. She had way too much fun with the tissue paper, especially once she realized that the wind would carry it if she threw in up in the night wind.
Friday night, Joe and I gave her our gift. It was a toddler pillow since she had been saying she wanted one. I got one with a firetruck on it and her name. The firetruck is so that she always has her daddy with her even when he is at work. Well...the pillow didn't even last a night with her. We watched her a couple of nights on the video monitor after we put her to bed and caught her standing on her knees in her bed, taking the pillow and chunking it out of the bed with all her little might! Oh well...she will come around to it one day! We all went out to McDonalds for our Valentine's dinner...romantic huh! We wanted to go to a place that Brooke would enjoy too!
Saturday, Joe had to work. Brooke woke up to a heart shaped balloon with Mickey and Minnie on it that Daddy left her with a card. Mommy got pretty flowers and a balloon too! Then Brooke and I
decided to drive to Daddy's work for a visit.
Later that night, Aunt Scilla came over and brought Brooke a singing dog and a stuffed dog with a cute card. Priscilla played the singing dog and Brooke took it, inspected it, and handed it back to Aunt Scilla saying "I don't want it." We both laughed so hard because we knew she was just scared of the singing dog. Needless to say, she loves that singing dog now and wants to play it all the time...just took some warming up to it!!
