It finally happened and she was doing SO good. Thursday, Feb 12th, I was in my bedroom getting ready. I had my back to the door and was getting something from my dresser. I begin to hear this noise like someone was walking behind me and Joe was NOT home and I still had nerves running from the night the house alarm went off and Joe wasn't home a few weeks ago. In about the 2-3 seconds that I had to think, I thought someone was in the house, so I looked to see if there was something around me to defend myself. There wasn't and I turned around with my heart about beating out of my chest and screamed.
It was a pint-size intruder in my bedroom named Brooke. She was standing there with her blankie and Minnie Mouse. She looked at me like I was nuts when I screamed out from being startled. Then she says "I get up. I come find you Mommy!" in the cutest voice. I said "I see that, Honey". When I finally calmed down I explained to her that she needed to stay in bed until Mommy comes to get her and she repeated "but I come find you, Mommy".
Earlier that morning, she wanted something she dropped out of her bed, so I went in to get it for her. I left the door open so that is how she got out of her room and didn't activate the "bell" alarm I set up! :)
